Dear Families,
Fall Teacher Conferences are next week! We will be hosting early dismissal on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week; the end of the school day is at 12:33pm and no lunch will be served. You can view the early dismissal schedule via our student handbook by clicking here.
Be sure to check out our bake sale from the student council during all conference times!
Veteran's Day Tribute
We'd like to invite you as we honor our Veterans with a “Veterans Day Tribute.” This very special event on Monday, November 11, 2024, will feature readings, songs, and patriotic music all about the history and importance of Veterans Day. We welcome our Sandyston Walpack residents and families, especially our community Veterans.
An RSVP must be submitted in order to attend this special event. Please RSVP by Monday, November 6, 2023 to Mrs. Timerly Hill, 973-948-4450 thill@sandystonwalpack.org or click here to fill out an online RSVP Google Form. We hope you are able to join us for our “Veterans Day Tribute” on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 10:30 am.
We will be displaying our annual Wall of Honor during this week. All prior submissions will be displayed. If you would like to add your veteran family member, email a picture, name, military rank, and duties performed to wwesighan@sandystonwalpack.org by Monday, November 6th. A formal invitation is below.

We had a great time at our October Pep Rally where we celebrated school spirit and our monthly character ed theme of RESPECT!
Thank you to all our students and families who entered their decorated pumpkins in our decorating contest. The winner this year, as voted on by staff, is the Spongebob Squarepants insipired pumpkin by Austin Palmer!
Thank you Trooper Stryuk for our Halloween Safety Discussions with all grades! And Happy Halloween from some of the staff here at SWS.

Community Cares gathered for their first meeting of the year as they plan for their Stuff the Stocking drive.
First grade waved goodbye to their monarch butterflies. They will now fly thousands of miles to overwinter in Mexico!
Third grade reads their book club books and jots important information in their book charts.
Preschool works on building and sharing during block time.
On Halloween students in fifth and sixth grade join forces to solve the Halloween Whodunnit! Students used critical thinking, teamwork and inferencing skills to solve the case.
Third grade enjoys a vareity of obstacles during PE this week.
Kindergarten works on an apple poem in writing workshop.
Third grade learns how to write their name in binary as an introduction to coding.
First grade displays their life size body systems diagrams from health class.
