DI Parent and Student Meeting
We have been able to secure school sponsors for Destination Imagination. There is a very quick turn around for creating teams. If your child is interested in participating, please join us in the art room tomorrow at 6 pm! The title above is linked to information about DI.
Spelling Bee 2024-2025
Attention 3rd , 4th , and 5th Grade Parents/Guardians: Today your child is bringing home a 2024-2025 Classroom Spelling Bee Study List. All students will participate in the Classroom Qualifying Test, but it is not mandatory that they study the words. The list is provided for those who would like to try to qualify for our Campus Spelling Bee. (The classroom qualifying test will not be taken for a grade.) In addition to being able to spell well, the student who goes on to represent us at the District Spelling Bee needs to be a role model, having good work habits and behavior.
The study list is coming home today, and the qualifying test is October 29.
Red Ribbon Week
Veterans Day
Please RSVP if you have a family member attending our Veterans Day program. This is a wonderful tradition, and we look forward to recognizing all of our veterans on November 11. The forms are shown below, and each page is linked to a printable copy.
Attendance Update!
While our attendance is over the 95% district goal, our attendance at Robison dropped from this same time last year. Our attendance for the first six weeks was 96.05% compared to 96.75% last year. We appreciate everyone's efforts to be at school every day!
Congratulations to our 5th grade students for having the highest attendance rate last week with 97.6%. Fourth grade was close behind with 97.3%!
We look forward to celebrating our students with 2 or fewer absences for the first grading period!
Attendance is taken at 10:35 am every day. If your child is here at that time, they are counted present. If your child leaves and returns for a doctor appointment, and they miss the 10:35 am attendance time, the absence will be reversed, as long as a doctor's note is presented.
Checking Your Students' Grades (2nd-5th)
Please see the flyer below for step-by-step instructions on how to check your students' grades. You are able to view grades, absences, set up gradebook alerts, and even view state testing results, all in the Home Access Center.
Report cards will go home for all students this Friday, October 25!
Favorite Things of Our Staff
THIS LINK includes some favorite things of our staff. If you'd like to see what your child's teacher or a particular staff member favors, you can find this on the link. There is a link with a bitmoji in the last column that might not open due to the settings; however, everything else is accessible.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH INFORMATION
Free and Reduced Meals
This year, grace period ends on September 30th. This means all students who qualified for Free/Reduced meals last year AND have not completed an application this year, will revert to PAID meals.
Please see the links below for more information. The links include flyers in English, Spanish and Vietnamese and a paper application form if you prefer instead of the online application.
STUDENT BIRTHDAYS
Woohoo! We are now ready to begin accepting School Cash for birthday announcements on the marquee! The cost is $20, and payments must be made in School Cash by Thursday of the week prior to your child's birthday. Messages will run from Monday-Sunday.
If you'd like to have your child's birthday celebrated at school, we offer parents the opportunity to purchase ice cream or cookies from the cafeteria to be distributed to their child's class during lunch. In order for our cafeteria to prepare for this, you must give at least one week's notice. You may email michelle.mendiola@cfisd.net if you are interested.
We are unable to allow students to hand out birthday invitations at school or to hand out birthday treats in the classrooms.
