The beginning of high school scheduling is right around the corner! As such, we wanted to take some time to share some important information with you. On Wednesday, February 26th and Thursday, February 27th Perryville High School’s Assistant Principal and 9th Grade School Counselor along with our 8th Grade School Counselor will begin the scheduling process with all 8th grade students. On those two dates they will be meeting with all students through their math classes to discuss the scheduling process and distribute their high school scheduling worksheets.
The high school scheduling worksheets will have the recommended classes highlighted. Please review the scheduling worksheet with your child and in the right hand column please write your final selection for each subject listed on the scheduling worksheet. At the bottom of the worksheet there is a place for a parent signature and email. Once you review and make your final selections, please have your child return the scheduling worksheet to Mrs. Watkins in the Guidance Office by Monday, March 16th.
On Thursday, March 12th Perryville High School will be hosting an 8th grade Parent and Student Information Night. This event will be from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Perryville High School. The evening will include information about high school, scheduling, Early College Academy, and much more. There will also be an opportunity for you to meet teachers, coaches, and learn about special programming at the high school.
During the week of March 16th Mrs. Douglass, the 9th Grade School Counselor, will meet with each 8th grade student individually here at Perryville Middle School to finalize his/her schedule. Once they have finalized their schedule with Mrs. Douglass, they will be given a copy of the scheduling worksheet to take home.
