At the August Board meeting, MISD Executive Director of Facilities gave an update on the November 2022 Bond projects.

Audubon Elementary

Audubon Elementary opened on August 8 and welcomed new students! Thank you to the tax payers for supporting this new elementary school.

Intermediate #3

Intermediate #3 is ahead of schedule and is now estimated to be completed by November 2024. The school will open in August 2025.

Junior High #3

The new junior high is on schedule to be completed in March or April of 2025. The current work happening includes exterior work and installation of windows. The construction site is waiting on permanet power which should be turned on in the next 30 days.

CTE Projects and Ag Barn Updates

The CTE projects at both high schools (HVAC at MWHS and Health Sciences at MHS) are currently under construction. The exterior of MWHS is completed and MH is waiting on the metal building to arrive and to be set on the foundation. The estimated completion is by the end of 2024.


The Ag Barn renovations are currently underway. The construction should be complete by the September Ag Show.

NJROTC Renovations

The NJROTC program is housed at the MHS campus for both high schools. The drawings are 95% completed and the project is expected to take 6 - 8 months.
