Eagleville Express Family News
Early January 2025
Principal's Note:
Hello and welcome to 2025!
So great to see the students back this week! Although the break was a fine chance to relax and spend time with family and friends, I truly missed seeing the students (as I am sure the staff would agree) on a day-to-day basis, learning and playing together. As we start a new year, it's a good chance to reflect and appreciate all that has been accomplished by our students, with thoughtful guidance and encouragement from our teachers, and supported and strengthened by our families in endless ways. I can't believe we are approaching the halfway point for the school year, and I am excited for the chance for each and every student to grow beyond what they thought was possible.
Sincerely,
Mr. Plant

Eagleville Way (PBIS) Updates
Celebrating our Incredible Staff!
Recently, two Eagleville staff members have been recognized for their dedication and contributions to Eagleville and the greater community. In December, Administrative Assistant Cindy Schwichtenberg was honored as the Mukwonago Area School District Employee of the Month, and ChrisAnn Wills, Eagleville Special Education Teacher, was honored as the Mukwonago Rotary Teacher of the Month. Congrats and thank you for all you do!
Winter Gear
Winter days are at hand, and we ask parents to see that their children are dressed as warmly as possible prior to their leaving for school. This includes a warm coat, hat, gloves or mittens, and boots. If a child will be leaving the blacktop area at recess when there is snow on the ground, snow pants and boots are required. Please remember to label all winter dress items with your child’s name. Additionally, we recommend that parents pack extra socks, gloves &/or mittens in your child’s backpack for the winter months.
Students will be going outside unless air temperature or wind chill drop below 0.
Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
Safety is of utmost importance with the drop-off and pick-up process at Eagleville. Please review the time frame and procedures to ensure each day goes as smoothly as possible. Thank you!

8:20 - 8:30:
All students exiting the bus enter through the doors in front of the building.
Vehicle drop off line moves through to drop off students.
8:30: School begins. Students must be in classrooms ready for announcements.
Parent Drop Off Procedures:
Parents are asked not to arrive before 8:20 to drop off students. Children may not be in the building unsupervised. Staff is not available for supervision prior to 8:20.
Parents can choose to park on the road and walk up to the front doors with their children and wait for the doors to open at 8:20
After 8:20:
Please do not pull into the drop off line until after the bus.
Stay in a single file line and wait your turn to drop-off. Pull your car far enough to unload 3-4 cars at a time.
Do not get out of your car. If you need to help your child, park and walk with your child.
Students are to exit the vehicle from the passenger side only.
Afternoon Dismissal and Pick Up:
3:32 - 3:35 - Dismissal of All Students - The bus will leave first before any students are sent to drive up vehicles in the parking lot.
Parent Pick-up Procedures:
Parents who pick-up students prior to the end of the day must sign them out of the office. After 3:35, parents who wish to walk up can pick students up near the gym door.
January Events at-a-glance
Vision and Hearing Screening Time!
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Vision and hearing screens will take place at Eagleville Elementary School on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. Kindergarten and first graders will receive vision and hearing screenings, and kindergarten, third and fifth graders will receive vision screening.
Your child will receive a copy of the screening results. The form will indicate if no further evaluation is needed or if follow up is recommended with a Physician, Optometrist, or Audiologist for further evaluation. Results will be documented in your child’s school health record and available to parent/guardian upon request.
If you have a student that is not scheduled to be screened and you feel your child would benefit from a vision or hearing screen, please contact your child’s school health assistant to request a vision or hearing screen for your child. If you would not like your child screened, also contact your child’s school health assistant.
Thank you,
Noel Menghe BSN, RN
