Greetings Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy Families,

Happy Friday! It was better than great seeing our scholars, families, teachers and staff today at our annual Back to School Event at Riverside Park. Seeing our scholars and allowing them to connect with teachers and peers always brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. If you were unable to join us, we look forward to seeing you next time, but we did not save you any pizza...sorry.

Our scholars completed beginning of the year testing and this week, and we will continue make-up next week, as we had our Back to School event today and was unable to complete all required make-up. If your scholar was absent for testing or did not have enough time to complete, they will be able to start or finish next week. We loo forward to reviewing the data and determining best instructional practices to support all scholars in their academic growth.

Registration is still open for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year. Please share your success at PLA Virtual with friends, family, neighbors and organizations, as we may be a great school choice for them as well. Our registration link is below. We appreciate all the referrals that have been shared with us by YOU. They are proud to give your name as the person who referred them, and we also sing your praises in return as we appreciate all of our families.

We look forward to seeing your scholar(s) on Monday, August 26, 2024 for week 3 of our school year! Our Grades 6-12 scholars begin their school day at 8:00am and our Grades K-5 scholars begin at 8:30am.

College Tours for Fall Semester!

1. On Friday, September 13th, at 9 AM, we will be touring IU Indianapolis in downtown Indianapolis.

2. On Wednesday, October 16th at 10 AM, we will be touring Ivy Tech in Indianapolis.

Please stay tuned for more information. Grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend!

Phalen Virtual Leadership Academy (PLA Virtual) is a tuition-free online learning academy for Indiana families in grades K-12. We are backed by an accredited university to help empower our scholars and families to accelerate academic success with high-quality curriculum taught in their own environment.
