The Fowler Weekly
December 16-20, 2024
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good Day All,
The final week before Winter Break can be a challenging time for student self management. Please remind students that they are still going to be required to complete academic tasks, bring necessary materials to class, and to act in a safe, respectful, and responsible manner. Upon return from break, we will be conducting a school wide review of our most important school policies and procedures.
The assembly on Friday was awesome! Having all 750 students in one place cheering one another is one of my favorite things about being a principal! Assemblies are a major part of the Tigard Tualatin School experience and I’m proud of our staff members and our leadership students for coordinating this event. Our leadership students worked hard planning and practicing facilitating fun Minute to Win It types of activities for students to compete in. It was truly a wonderful way to end the week.
Please know that we are wishing you all a restful, safe break! And wishing you all Happy Holidays. I am confident that 2025 at Fowler will be filled with growth, development and joy!

COMMUNICATION
Please take a minute to read this: THIS IS OUR LAST communication that will come as “The Fowler Weekly” in your email.
and will be titled something like “1 new message from Fowler Middle School today”. We want to be sure you continue to know how to locate our communication with you.
Here is a quick reminder of the reasons we are making this switch:
ParentSquare has the ability to translate our communication into over 100 languages. It will automatically send the communication in the language that you have registered with us as the language you prefer for communication.
ParentSquare lets YOU can determine when you would like to receive communication; at the time we send it, or in a “digest” at a specified time each day.
As a district and as a school, we will be using Parent Square exclusively in order to relieve the constant inundation in your email accounts.
This is all so much easier if you have the ParentSquare App. Get started here. Here are Step by Step Instructions for setting up your account. (There are QR codes on these instructions that can be used to access the app) Here is a Link to District website page with more information.
HAPPENINGS
There will not be any Activity Buses this week, and therefore no Homework Help or Affinity Groups.
Winter ASA (After School Activities) will run January 13-February 27. Sign Ups will begin January 7 after we return.
Are you ready for the book fair!?! Have you completed your e-wallet? It’s this week!
THIS IS IT! Our Lost & Found is leaving this Wednesday afternoon.
But it’s not too late. Is your student missing a coat? Lunchbox? Shoe? Umbrella? Sock? Backpack? Water bottle? Wrist brace? Spiral? Binder? Please have them check the Lost & Found area as the pile of belongings is quite large!
If you, as a parent/guardian would like to come in and look around, you are welcome to do so
before students arrive (7:30-8:15am)
during the day (9:00-10:30) or (1:00-3:00)
or after school (3:15-4:00).
We will have you sign in as a visitor and take you over to look at the small mountain. Questions? Call the Main Office at (503)431-5000.
