Food Service - aka the Lunch Ladies...
We know how this sounds, but...
Breakfast and Lunches are free.
Students who want milk only need to pay $.60 per day. Parents can add $$ to Paypam account, or send it into school, where Mrs. Naughton and her team will put it on your child's account.
Click on the milk carton to see lunch menus and more from Food Services.
From our Librarian
We have had a wonderful start to the school year in Library! Your children are so excited to be checking out books and listening to stories.
So far this year we have focused mostly on library behavior and book care. It may sound simple to you as an adult, but young children need instruction on how to gently turn pages, how to safely store books at home, and how to carefully walk with their books between the library and their classroom.
We are currently working on visual literacy where students are challenged to look closely at illustrations to understand the story being told. These are always fun lessons where students realize just how much can be conveyed through simple lines and color.
Soon our students will start to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Kindergarten will learn about foods, such as paletas, and cut up tissue paper to make their own papel picado to decorate the library. First graders will learn about dance (and maybe learn some salsa moves of their own!) and make a variation of a Guatemalan worry doll.
Please continue to help your child remember to bring their library books back on their library day. So far the kids have been doing a wonderful job of remembering!
Happy Fall!
