DCPS Mandatory Test-to- Return Policy!
DCPS Families Will Need To:
1. Receive A Test Kit From Your School.
Test kits will be distributed on or before Friday, April 8. Check your student’s backpack for the COVID-19 test kit provided to them. If your student will not be in school on Friday, April 8, please contact your school to pick up a test kit, or visit a District COVID Center or a Rapid Test Pickup site to receive one
2. Take A Rapid Test.
On Monday, April 18, take the easy to use, at-home test and follow the instructions provided. Families may choose to utilize their own testing option, but tests administered before April 18 will not be accepted. Each COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test kit includes two COVID-19 tests. Families are encouraged to administer the second test 36 hours later, per the test kit instructions, but only one negative test is required to return to school.
3. Upload Your Test Results.
Provide proof of your test results by Monday, April 18 at 9:00 p.m. A button will be available at the top of this page. (Instructions: How to upload your results | Español | 中文 | አማርኛ )
If your student tests positive, follow all isolation guidance from DC Health and your child’s healthcare provider. Individuals who test positive on a COVID-19 test cannot report for in-person activities and should remain at home during their isolation period. This includes students who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Check out our FAQ to understand the length of your student’s isolation period.
4. Return To Class On April 19
Please note that students will not be permitted to attend school until they provide proof of a negative test result following Spring Break. If a student arrives at school without completing a test, families will be provided with a test kit to administer. Unaccompanied students will be tested on-site by trained medical professionals but may face a lengthy wait outside before starting the school day. If you choose to opt your child out of rapid antigen tests administered on-site at school by using this form your child must quarantine for 10 days and cannot attend school during this time.

Spring School Pictures...Tuesday, April 19th
School pictures are set for this coming Tuesday, April 19th. Order information and forms were sent home last week to families with students. If you didn't get a form, no worries. Picture orders can be handled online (Please see below) and students are not required to wear school uniforms. ALL PICTURES WILL BE INDIVIDUAL SHOTS ONLY as there will be no class pictures taken due to COVID protocols. Extended Office Hours To Support Enrollment
Extended Office Hours To Support Enrollment:
During enrollment season, Ms. Stepehnson will have extended office hours to help support families get enrolled for the upcoming school year. Every Monday- Thursday until May 1st Ms. Stephenson will keep the office open until 7 PM to support families with enrollment.
**During Spring Break the office will remain open until 7 PM on Tuesday, April 12, Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14th only. **

ENROLLMENT REMINDERS
- All students enrolled by April 23rd will be entered in a drawing for an opportunity to win a bike, a scooter, 5 tickets to a Nats game, movie passes, board games, over-the-door basketball hoops, and more.
- To assist in hitting our enrollment marks we have INCENTIVIZED enrollment by five grade bands: PK3-PK4, K-2nd, 3rd-4th, SPED self-contained and IPL classes.
- The first class by grade band to reach 90% of all students enrolled will win an ICE CREAM party and PIZZA PARTY here at JOW and that teacher will win an additional GOLDEN GOOSE AWARD.
