Mary Hogan Family Newsletter
Update from Principal Jen Kravitz
April 12, 2024
Dear Mary Hogan Families,
There were two highlights for me this week - the eclipse and the Week of the Young Child. The eclipse was pretty remarkable and way more exciting than I expected. It has been so fun hearing from students and staff alike where they watched the eclipse and what they thought of it. What did you think of the ecliipse? And check out this amazing photo taken by Cyndi Palmer!
This week was also the Week of the Young Child. It is a week celebrating young children, early learners, their teachers, family, and community. Each year, the preschool celebrates the week with fun activities celebrating community - in their class, school, and families. The joy that the week brings each year fills everyone up by working together, creating art, dancing, and the week ended tonight with a family meal and magic show! I'd like to recognize the amazing teachers and staff in our preschool program - Laura Charron, Kim Forbes, Deb Martin, Katie Mitchell, Katherine Palmer, Claire Schutte - who put together this week for the whole preschool community.
Be well,
Jen

There are multiple kinds of digital risks for children today. It is important for caregivers and teachers to have the information and tools to respond. Adults in this workshop will: a) learn the digital risks for children and strategize ways to keep children and youth safe in digital environments and b) learn effective strategies to help manage concerning digital behaviors. Please join us to learn how to support youth in digital environments!
