It was another great week at Governor Winslow School! In honor of Custodians' Day on October 2, our students and staff celebrated our custodial staff this week. Thank you to Mr. Bacon, Mr. Ploeger, and Mr. Spillane. We are extremely grateful to all of our wonderful custodians!

Picture make-up / retake day is scheduled for Thursday, October 10 for any student who was absent on Picture Day or who was not satisfied with his/her original photo. For all picure retakes please return the original portrait package.

The PTO is putting a team together for all the 5th grade events and yearbook. If you have a 5th grader and would like to be on the committee please send an email to gwsgrade5yearbook@gmail.com. (There will also be additional volunteer opportunities the year)

**Extremely Important: Please complete the Student Workflow and Parent Workflow as soon as possible as this is how we reach you in an emergency.**

New families should have received their login information via email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.

GWS will continue to use the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. Families that have not already registered will receive an email with login information.

Ice cream will be available at lunch every Friday! To expedite the process, it would be very helpful if money is preloaded onto your child's School Bucks account rather than sending in cash. Check your account because several accounts have balances from last year. Siblings cannot share accounts so please be sure to preload each child's individual accounts.You can add money by clicking here. (After you log in or register (if new) than you can use your child’s Birthday for the ID Number to add your child’s account.)

If cash is sent in label the envelope with your child's name.

The cost is $1.50

Lunch will be served at all elementary schools this year free of charge.

The Jog-A-Thon will be held on Thursday, October 17th, with a rain date of 10/21. The last call for Jog-A-Thon business donations and family donations (to add your student's last name to the back of the t-shirts) will be this Saturday, October 5th. With your business sponsorship, please email a png file of your logo to: gwspto@gmail.com.
