Testing and Assessment Updates

This week, we're focusing on our end-of-year assessments. Some grade levels were looking at the same days and times to test which was causing difficulties identifying staff to support small group testing. To help, I have outlined designated staff per grade level.

Testing Support Schedule:

- Kindergarten/1st Grade:

* Continue your Individual classroom assessments

- 2nd Grade Testing Support:

* Erway, Guillen, McAllister, Bobbit

- 3rd Grade Testing Support (Tuesday/Wednesday):

* Kositzke, Wright, LaBarre

- 4th Grade Testing Support (Tuesday/Wednesday):

* Powers, Hoekstra, Hill

- 5th Grade Testing Support (Thursday):

* Wright, Kositzke

Important Testing Reminders:

- Coordinate with resource room staff and speech pathologist

- Relay your testing day plan/times to your designated support staff

- 2nd Grade Field Trip: Tuesday

Keep an eye on your email! I'll be sending out scheduling invitations as needed for:

- Final observations

- Please respond promptly to these requests as our end of school year rapidly approaches

District Consumable Orders

- Teacher Due Date: Wednesday

- Please send me your orders by Wednesday so I can review and submit to district by Friday

A Heartfelt Thank You to Nurse Avor

This year, Nurse Avor has truly embodied the spirit of compassionate care and dedication that makes our school community special. Her commitment to our students goes far beyond typical nursing duties:

Nurse Avor represents the very best of what it means to be part of the Parkwood family. Her huge heart and unwavering dedication make a significant difference in the lives of our students every single day.

We also want to recognize and shout out our District Nurse, Nurse Ross!

Nurse Ross:

- Always available to support staff and students

- Responsive to calls and emails

- Provides engaging and educational health lessons

- Recently conducted interactive hand washing workshops for several classes

We are incredibly grateful for Nurse Ross and the essential work she does to keep our schools healthy and informed!
