Keeping Busy - Even in Winter
When we are not crafting or putting our jam making skills to the test, there is still plenty to be done. Now is the time for spring dreaming as we pour over seed catalogs and make garden plans for the coming growing season. We have also been working in the greenhouses, cleaning, cooking together, and much more. It might be cold outside but we are cozy, warm, and full of learning and laughter inside!
Goodness Grows is offering a 14 week produce subscription program. Subscribers will get fresh, naturally raised vegetables every Thursday from June 28- September 27. Subscription orders will be harvested, packaged, and cooled that day and available for pick-up between 4pm - 7pm each Thursday.
Leaf lettuce, micro greens, onions, tomatoes, peppers (hot and mild), potatoes, corn, cucumbers, and herbs such as chives, basil, cilantro, thyme, sage and parsley will be the main crops, along with additional items such as zucchini, squash, peas, green beans, strawberries, and flowers. Value added items such as jam, salsa, and pesto will be included when available. End of season may include corn stalks and pumpkins. Locally sourced, ecologically grown vegetables and fruit may be included to increase food diversity.
Abundance – number of crops ready and amount of harvest of a given crop will vary throughout the season. We pledge to provide at least six items each week. The price is $20 per week, which can be paid once by May 18 - $250 ($30 discount) or in three payments of $95 by May 18, July 6, and Sept. 1. A mini share for 1 person, may be ordered at $12 per week ($150 if paid by May 18). Contact us by April 30, 2018 to reserve your subscription. (The CSA title above this section is a link directly to the CSA form on our website.)

Why Support a CSA?
What’s it all about? The produce and so much more…
* High Quality * Grown locally * Farm Fresh * Handled with care * Selected for flavor
Our produce is grown, picked, packed, displayed, and marketed, in part by area students. These are adults and young adults with developmental disabilities AND with abilities to develop via market farming work here. This CSA program provides a great variety of tasks that teach our clients and classrooms farm skills and also raises money to keep our programs going.
Subscribing creates a partnership between consumers and farmers. You can take comfort in knowing your hard-earned dollar goes directly to the people who plant, tend, and harvest your food locally. A CSA guarantees that you know right where your food is coming from! You will also be supporting sustainable agricultural practices that protect our local soil and water resources.
*Goodness Grows aims to provide 10% of our harvest to locals in need.*
