Students at Irving sent thank you notes to Hope Evans stationed at RAF Mildenhall in England with the United States Air Force in honor of Veteran's Day. Hope is the daughter of our Irving School Secretary, Grace Ann Evans.
Thank You to Everyone for Donating Food
The Irving STUCO would like to say thank you to everyone who donated food for their annual food pantry drive! Mr. Everett along with STUCO students delivered the food to the food pantry in time for Thanksgiving.
Art News
3-5 grades are finishing up projects for the District Spring Art Show. All grades have been learning new techniques using watercolor paint, tempera paint, watercolor markers, and oil pastels.
Be sure to check out the Christmas tree in the lobby! All grades have been busy making Christmas ornaments for the Christmas tree in the foyer.

Students in Mrs. Orr’s class read Turkey’s in Disguise and were challenged to work with their families at home to disguise Thanksgiving Turkeys.

New Picnic Table
A new picnic table provided by the USD 465 Foundation through the teacher grants the foundation sponsors has been constructed and placed in the school garden. Many classes have been taking advantage of using it by working on their research projects to reading their library books. Thank you again to the USD 465 Foundation for providing our picnic table!
Southwestern College Students Observe
Students from Wendy Burton's SC college class spent a few weeks observing and helping in the library. Students loved when they could read to the college students! They also had a great time with the college students at recess playing basketball.
