Parent Survey
RMS Families,
We are asking you to please complete this short survey linked here about RMS prior to Christmas Break. The survey data will help our school grow in the implementation of Capturing Kids Hearts. Capturing Kids’ Hearts focuses on skill-based processes for educators to implement and model as they develop positive behaviors and future-ready skills in their students. Thank you in advance for your time in completing the survey.
RMS Care Closet
We are so excited and deeply grateful for the generous donations we’ve received so far in support of our Care Closet initiative! This project has been a dream, and seeing it come to life is truly inspiring. It’s all made possible by the incredible kindness and generosity of our community, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
These contributions mean so much to us, as they allow us to provide essential resources to our students when they need them most. From basic necessities to small comforts, the Care Closet will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of many, ensuring every student feels supported and valued.
We can’t wait to see the continued growth of this initiative as it develops and reaches even more students in need. Your support not only helps meet immediate needs but also strengthens the sense of care and compassion that defines our community. Thank you for being such an important part of this effort and for helping us create a space where every student can thrive.
Please tap the flyer and see the following PDF for more information.
8th Grade Trip
The 8th grade trip is full. If you would like to add your student to the waitlist, please click the link. If we have enough interest we can open up another bus.
RMS Virtual Giving Tree
This year Romeo Middle School is hosting a virtual giving tree to help support RMS families in need during this holiday season. If you are interested in donating, please sign up for a slot(s) below. All purchased gift cards can be dropped off at the RMS Counseling Office by Monday, December 16. When delivered, please have your student (or whoever is dropping off your donation) complete a donation envelope with your student's name and the gift card amount.
If you are interested in donating a gift card outside of this list, RMS is happy to accept any and all donations to help support our families.
THANK YOU for your generosity and kindness this holiday season!

Happy Friday! As the days to holiday break dwindle down, we want to thank YOU, the parents and guardians, for all YOU do! Whether it’s the early morning wakeups, a nourishing breakfast, arriving on time, words of encouragement, or sharing your life experience, we couldn’t do it without YOU! Thank you for being an integral part of your child's education. As always, we are here to support in a variety of ways so please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank YOU! 🙂
★ 6th Grade:
We are so close to Christmas break!! Please help us encourage positive behavior and 100% effort as we navigate the last week of school before holiday break! We will continue with our normal routines and enjoy the week of fun in the building! As always, please reach out if you or your student have any questions or concerns.
★ 7th Grade
Upcoming Dates:
Tuesday, January 28th, 2025: Course presentations for Rising 8th Graders:
Instead of paper, a Google Form will be sent to the students school email
The requirement is that parent/guardian and student sit together to complete the form

Students who do not submit a form will have their electives chosen based on availability
★ 8th Grade Happy Holidays!!
Our 8th grade students are wrapping up their Xello (career exploration) lessons and talking about the transition from middle school to high school. There were some moans about the early start time and the lack of windows in the 9th grade academy, but overall students were excited to talk about block scheduling and what 9th grade will look like. We will begin scheduling at the end of February when Ms. Famiano, the 9th grade counselor, will come over to talk to our students.
Homework Help has been running during lunches to help students who are failing two or more classes and we will continue to meet throughout the year. This has been a great way to get students back on track and to let them know that they can succeed if they put in the effort.
In January Mrs. Bjorkstrand will be joining the R-Time classes during their Leadworthy lessons. This will be a great opportunity to interact with each class and to help them with the lesson.
