Smore - Our New Newsletter Tool

We are excited to share that our 4th and 5th-grade students will be participating in Invest in ME Reads, a free family financial wellness program provided by the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME). This program is designed to help families build financial skills at home through engaging books, activities, and resources.

As part of the program, students will receive a book to read and share with their families:

• 4th Grade: Priceless Facts About Money – a fun and informative book that teaches kids about the world of money.
• 5th Grade: World’s Coolest Jobs – an exciting book that helps students explore interesting careers.

Families will also have access to reading guides, activities, and additional resources to continue financial learning at home. You can explore these materials below!!

As part of the 21st Century Club, students have had the opportunity to participate in both Chorus and the SOAR Store Club. Chorus members showcase their talents during the winter and spring concerts, bringing music to our school community. The SOAR Store Club plays an active role in supporting students by sponsoring various events, including distributing good luck charms for NWEA testing. These clubs provide wonderful opportunities for students to engage, contribute, and take pride in their school!

This week, we celebrated School Counseling Week! Mrs. Tlili led the morning announcements each day and conducted engaging lessons with our students. As part of the celebration, we also held a special spirit week. Thank you Mrs. Tlili for everything you do for our students!! At Fairmount, visiting the principal’s office isn’t just about solving problems—it’s often a chance to celebrate, connect, or share something special together! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many incredible Fairmount friends and will continue to add pictures of these wonderful visits to our newsletter.

Keep an eye out—you might just spot a familiar face sharing a story, showing off their hard work, or celebrating an achievement! Let’s continue making Fairmount a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and celebrated.

Falcon Council sponsored Fairmount’s Second Quarter Celebration last Friday! Students had the chance to celebrate their hard work earning SOAR tickets by visiting the Fairmount Snack Bar. They created personalized bags of goodies and enjoyed a cup of hot cocoa—all using their tickets!

Due to a few conflicts and knowing the importance of getting on board for the Spring Fair, we will be moving our PTO meeting to February 12th at 5:30PM. I hope everyone can make it.
