Spring Session
We hope everyone has had a relaxing and recharging February vacation. Sounds like some of you spent time on the ski slopes and some of you just enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in. However you spent the break, we look forward to seeing folks back at school on Tuesday, March 1 for the opening day of our Spring Session.
Vacation ends one day earlier for teachers who will be at school tomorrow for a professional development day. We are looking forward to working with our newest Community Teachers, Rhonda Miller and Frankie Dominguez. Rhonda will be joining us to teach art on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. In addition to an art class, she will also be running a weekly art exploration on Wednesdays. Frankie will be joining us on Mondays and Thursdays to teach ASL and Spanish. We are also excited to welcome Yuval Kittridge back again to teach a class about horror literature.
Tuesday's Morning Meeting will be extended in order to welcome some new students into our community. We will hold a special advisory block Tuesday morning for students to finalize their class sign-ups. Add/Drop will last until March 8.
There are some exciting classes available for students this Spring including Ally's phenology class, Model United Nations, 3-D Printing, and an exploration of fashion with Josie. Click here to see the schedule.
Breakfast Returns
We have the greatest, most supportive families a school could ask for, and we are grateful for this. Students and staff particularly appreciate this year’s new practice of Wednesday Breakfasts. Families have been taking turns bringing in breakfast for the school on Wednesday mornings. We took a little hiatus from breakfast for the month of February, but are excited about its return. Here’s the link to the sign-up sheet. If you have questions about Wednesday Breakfasts, please reach out to Fern.

Community Picnic May 21
The Events Team is still hard at work planning this spring's Community Picnic. Mark your calendar!
This day will be a blast, and it will also be an all hands on deck event with opportunities to volunteer with game stations, ticket sales, parking, school tours, and...wait for it...clean up!
Over the coming weeks the Events Team will have more details and sign up lists, but be sure to block off May 21 (rain date May 22) to join us.
Invite your friends, tell your neighbors, and come enjoy more donuts and ice cream than your doctor would approve of.
(PS You will have an opportunity to drop Evan into the dunk tank)
Call For Agenda Items
Our March All School Meeting will be in person at TNS from 6:00-7:30. Top of our agenda will be students sharing about their Intensives. We welcome input from all members of our community and are seeking agenda items for the March Meeting. When submitting an agenda item, please include a brief description of the topic and an estimate of the amount of time you would like to devote to it. Agenda items should be submitted by the Friday before an ASM. Send your Agenda Items to either Christine or Scott.
