Mrs. Taylor's Counseling Corner
Comanche Springs Elementary
FEBRUARY
We are beginning our kindness and empathy lessons throughout all grade levels. Our Spurs loved The Great Kindness Challenge; they know how to spread kindness throughout the building. Our Kindness Club surpassed their goal for the Kindness Challenge and our Spurs completed 1732 random acts of kindness throughout the building!! WOW! Our Spurs are are AMAZING!! Spurs will continue to spread kindness because we can always choose kindness towards ourselves and others.
Spur Ambassadors will be partnering with Project Success Fort Worth to utilize the hat & PJ funds. They will be working on an art project with them, donating art supplies for future projects, and suppling dessert and prizes on the night of the event. Thank you for your continued support in our community! Together, we can make an enormous difference!

PROJECT SUCCESS
POP TABS
Ronald McDonald House Charities: a nonprofit family & children's charity dedicated to supporting families with sick children in their time of need. Little things can make a big difference. You can help support the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth by collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or other aluminum cans. The funds generated from recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House’s expenses. Collecting pop tabs is a great program that benefits the Ronald McDonald House families. Spur Ambassadors will be collecting pop tabs all year long. You may drop them off at the counselor’s office in the container marked for Ronald McDonald Pop Tabs.
All About Mrs. Taylor
Hello, my name is Kelly Taylor. I am delighted to be your child's professional school counselor at Comanche Springs Elementary. The 2024-2025 school year will be my seventh full year as the Comanche Springs counselor. This year marks my twenty-ninth year in education and my sixteenth year at Eagle Mountain Saginaw Independent School District. I received my Master’s in Education from Lamar University and my teaching degree in Education with a minor in Reading from Texas Wesleyan University. Formerly, I was a 5th/4th-grade ELAR (English/Language Arts) teacher at Elkins Elementary. Previously, I taught for thirteen years in the Crowley Independent School District (Grades 2nd, 3rd, and 6th) and served as the department head for English/Language Arts and Social Studies. I have two beautiful children, a wonderful and supportive husband, and a fur baby named Rocco. My daughter is a recognized scholar and a graduate of The University of North Texas with a degree in Business Marketing and is a tattoo artist. My son is a sophomore at The University of Texas in Austin and continues to receive University Honors for his academic excellence, Hook 'Em! I enjoy traveling to Europe, the beach, shopping, walking Rocco, and trying new restaurants. I am looking forward to another great year at Comanche. Go, SPURS!!
