The Des Plaines Elks Club is hosting the Hoop Shoot free throw competition on Saturday November, 9th at Chippewa Middle School.
This is a free throw shooting contest for both boys and girls ages 8 up to 13 years old. The event is free to attend and participate in.
There will be trophies for the top 3 finishers in their age group as well as pizza, snacks, and beverages at the event.
Please ask your Physical Education Teacher for more information.

11/12 6:30 pm PTO Meeting
Parents and caregivers, join us for the next PTO meeting on 11/12. Come hear about the rest of the events planned before winter break! Note, there will not be a meeting in December.
11/20 4:00-8:00 pm Dine n' Share Panera Des Plaines
Stop at Panera-1620 W Higgins Road, Des Plaines, IL between 4-8 pm, show the flyer, and 25% of qualifying sales will be donated to Central School PTO. Also applies to online/app orders, just use the code from the flyer. See flyer for details.
11/21 6:30-8:00 pm Craft Night
All students are invited to come create an ornament, which will be hung on the Central-sponsored tree during the tree lighting ceremony in Metropolitan Square on December 6th. This is not a drop-off event, a parent/guardian must be present with each student. See flyer for details.
Red Barrel Donations
Throughout the school year, Central participates in donation drives for the Self-Help Closet and Pantry of Des Plaines. Each grade level will have an opportunity to bring in donation items, which will then be delivered to the pantry for use in our community. The Kindergarten classes will start us off for the month of November, then be on the lookout for a flyer with more details when it is your student's turn.

Red Bucket
We are starting the monthly red bucket food drives for the Des Plaines Self Help pantry. Each grade does a collection for a month. We are starting with Kindergarten for the month of November. We are collecting non-perishable food items.
