STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
"Beyond My World" Spanish Projects
For the final project of our unit "Mas alla de mi mundo (Beyond My World)" 6th grade students completed their presentational assessment "Mi planeta favorito". Students created a model of their favorite planet from the solar system and described different characteristics such as size, location, weather patterns, color, etc. Students presented their project to the class in the target language.
Ritual Dissent
In Ms. Altomare's class, students engaged in a ritual dissent activity, which involves a formalized process of providing honest, respectful, and constructive feedback. Students made claims based on an article read in class to get ready for research simulation tasks which they had to back up with multiple pieces of evidence; After writing these claims, a representative traveled to each group where they received the strengths and weaknesses of their claim and a vote on whether or not it could be properly argued in their coming paper!
Interviewing Darwin
Ms. Hall’s 8th grade scientists interviewed naturalist and geologist, Charles Darwin, using artificial intelligence (AI).
Slope Dude
Ms. Sutley and Ms. Marcus' Pre Algebra classes joined forces for a super fun lesson on "slope." We watched "slope dude" together and practiced this new concept in cooperative groups outside! It was a great day 🙂
Oreo Eclipse
Mrs. Kraybill’s convocation period discussed and modeled the solar eclipse using Oreos!
CLIMATE, CULTURE & #EHTPride
Connie onto Stop 2
Connie makes another stop on her convocation of the week (C.O.W) tour!
