Welcome to the fall semester! We hope the start of the semester is off to a great start!

Regular Academic Session Courses (08/22/2022 - 12/07/2022):

• 9/1/2022: Last day to apply for Fall degree candidacy without a late fee. After this date a $50 00 Late Candidacy Application fee will be assessed.
• 9/4/2022: Last day to drop without a grade of W (withdraw). Classes dropped on or before this date will remain on your UAccess academic record with a status of dropped, but will not appear on your transcript. Last day to change from credit to audit, or vice versa, with only an instructor's signature. Last day for a refund.

• 9/5/2022: Beginning today, students may completely withdraw from all classes in the term. Labor Day, no classes. W period begins A penalty grade of W will be awarded for each withdrawal and the class(es) will appear on your transcript. Beginning today, a change from credit to audit requires instructor approval on a Change of Schedule form.

Seven Week First Session Courses (08/22/2022 - 10/12/2022):

• 9/5/2022: Labor Day, no classes.
• 9/17/2022: Last day to make registration changes without the dean's signature.
• 9/18/2022: Instructor's and dean's signatures are required on all Change of Schedule forms to add or change classes.
• 9/23/2022: Last day to file for Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). Last day for students to withdraw from a class online through UAccess.
• 9/24/2022: Instructor and dean's signatures required on a Late Change Petition in order to withdraw from class and students must have an extraordinary reason for approval.

The University of Arizona strongly encourages that students test regularly.

Eller will be hosting Eller Expo with 125 employers in attendance on Wednesday, September 14th from 3PM-7PM. Students do not need to register for the event, but it is recommend that attendees download the Career Fair Plus App as we move closer to the event (9/06) when all companies are reflected.

The Peace Corps Prep Program is hosting a welcome event on Thursday, September 15th from 4:00 – 5:00 PM in the lobby of the Forbes building. This event will be a great opportunity for students to learn more about the Peace Corps and the PC Prep Program and meet with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) to hear firsthand what service is like. Snacks and refreshments will be provided thanks our state and regional Peace Corps recruiters – who will also be in attendance!

RSVPs are encouraged, but not required.

Dr. Mehl's social psychology lab is looking for participants for a research study on how people cooperate with artificial intelligence when playing a navigation-based mobile game. This study lasts 180 days and involves monetary compensation based on participation (up to about $500). It also involves wearing a Garmin smartwatch, which we provide, and which you are free to keep ($350 value) if you remain in the study for at least 45 days. The main criteria for eligibility are having an Android phone, be willing to be paid using Venmo, and having our study apps on your personal phone. For more information and to see if you are eligible, please email the project coordinator, Lidia Obregon, at lidiaobregon@arizona.edu.

Please note being a research study participant does not grant directed research credit.
