SHS Halloween Fun
There was plenty of dressing up all last week as the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) club organized dress up days to bring awareness to their message. Halloween also had students displaying their creativity. Pictured above, Ava, Hannah, and Aryison show off their love for the founding fathers--and the musical Hamilton! They even found a king, Mr. Holler, to declare independence from-- hanging out in the sophomore hall!
Day of the Dead Celebrations a Student Favorite
Picture Retake Day is November 19!
All State Chorus
Congratulations to the SHS members of the All State Chorus who practiced and performed November 1 and 2 in Sioux Falls. They performed alongside the All State Orchestra for a stunning concert! If you missed the show on PBS, you can watch it at the link below, or tune in on Thanksgiving Day when it will be rebroadcast.

SADD Mini-Conference a Success!
Over 20 students attended the SADD Mini-Conference held last Friday after school. SADD advisor Mrs. Filipek and teacher volunteers led students in activities to build relationships. The students participated in group and activities and team times in order to get to know their fellow students and staff better. Healthy relationships lead to healthy choices!
Speech
Mrs. Prendergast's speech students have been busy preparing their advertisements that use logical fallacies. Pictured practicing their sales pitch are Caden and Ryder.
English III Honors
Mrs. Ecevia's students have been tapping into their creative sides as they begin to read The Great Gatsby. They have created mood and story boards to better understand the scenes and events of the book.
Government
Mr. Bartlett found a gem of a game to play with his senior government students this week to help them study. Complete with flag scoreboards, this game was a winner!
