Dress Like a Leprechaun this Friday!
Kindergarten Enrollment- April 10
- Once we have received your form, we will contact you by email to schedule an appointment time.
- Parents who are not sure which elementary school their child should attend may use the school locator feature on the district website. Families must attend Kindergarten Enrollment at their own school of residence.
After making an enrollment appointment, the following documents (scans, downloads, or clear photos) should be emailed to Kate Kerrigan by Thursday, April 3:
- copy of the student’s birth certificate
- proof of residency in the Black Bob attendance area, such as utility bill, mortgage statement, or rental agreement
- information about the child’s immunizations and inoculations
- proof of a doctor’s physical completed by Aug. 1, 2024 or later
Parents should contact the school if they have questions about Kindergarten Enrollment or the enrollment process. Please share this information with neighbors and friends who may be eligible for kindergarten next school year.
Application for Immersion is now Open March 3- April 24
If you have a future Kindergartner and you would like for them to be entered into the Immersion Lottery, please complete this form: https://www.olatheschools.org/Page/9869
The window is open from March 3- April 24.
If you have a child that is already in the Immersion Program and you would like your future Kindergartner enrolled, please complete the above form to let us know. Your child will automatically be entered into the Immersion, we just need you to let us know by completing the form. Also, You will complete Kindergarten Enrollment here at Black Bob.
If you child is currently in Immersion, they will automatically be enrolled, so you do not need to do anything.

Calendar Changes due to Snow Days
Olathe Public Schools is committed to prioritizing instructional time and values having our students in school. After experiencing a historic winter season and an unprecedented number of inclement weather days, Olathe Public Schools will be making necessary adjustments to the remaining school year calendar to ensure that we meet the state required instructional hours for all students. The State Board of Education requires that all students meet the mandatory 1116 hours, except for seniors who must have 1086 hours. To put the district in the best position to meet these requirements, while also maintaining our community’s longstanding priority to end the school year by Memorial Day, the following changes will be made, effective March 24:
- Changes for All Students
- March 24, April 24, April 25 – These scheduled professional development days will now be full school days for all students.
- Changes for Elementary School Students
- Extend the school day by 5 minutes: Effective March 24, 2025, elementary school will be held from 8:55 a.m. - 4 p.m.

- April 24 - B Day
- April 25 - C Day
School Store Donations
Our students turn in their color cash cards for items or experiences at our school store. Please check out our amazon wish list if you would like to help fill our store!
Items that we always could use:
- full size candy and candy bars of any kind
- Individual bag of chips, popcorn, treats
- 12 packs of variety of pop

You can also go to our website and use the icon to the left and email us.
If you do not report the absence, we will call you each day.
If you need to order a lunch for your child, you can send that in the email or message for the office.
