December 10th-13th Winter NWEA Testing
The Winter NWEA assessments are scheduled to take place starting next week, providing us with valuable insights into your child's academic progress and growth throughout the school year. These assessments are an integral part of our commitment to understanding and supporting each student's individual learning journey.
Students will receive a summative score on their 3rd quarter progress check for their core classes. They will also have the opportunity to earn prizes for meeting or exceeding their winter goals.
December 11th - Official Grade Check
Students will receive a hard copy of their progress check this afternoon. Access to grades is always available in the Lumen student/part portal.
This grade check will be used as a deciding factor for eligibility for the dance and winter athletics.

December 17th - Boys Basketball Home Opener
The boys open the season againsted conference rival Strafford. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00pm.
December 18th - Winter Dance
Registration for the winter dance is now open. Students are required to fill out a Google form and submit their payment to the collection box located outside the office. Please do not give these to teachers or Mrs. Nikki, place them in the Christmas box labeled "Dance Envelopes". The Christmas box and dance envelopes will be accessible outside the middle school office starting this week.
Acknowledging the recent increase in student illnesses, we prioritize the well-being of our students and discourage attendance while symptomatic. We recognize that certain absences are beyond their control, and as long as these students are responsible in catching their work up, their grades should qualify for the dance. Also, students with major disciplinary issues will not be allowed to attend. If you believe your child's attendance is falling below the 90% requirement, please reach out to Mr. McNealy and Mr. Sullivan, providing documentation or details about the absences. This information will be shared with a review team, and eligibility will be determined by Friday, December 14th. It's important to note that students must also meet the grade criteria and have no major disciplinary issues during the 2nd quarter.
Fees as follows:
- Dance Entry Fee: $5.00 (Covers the cost of a DJ & Dance Decorations)
- Food Package: $5.00 (Includes a slice of Rocco's pizza, soda, and a snack)
Snacks, drinks, and candy can be purchased on the day of the event, but pizza must be pre-ordered.
All registrations and payments are due by Tuesday, December 17th.
