Thank you for a great start to the new year! The kids are learning and we had our first spirit day for the year! This is Digital Citizenship Week and it's more important than ever before. Take some time this week to talk to your children about the importance of being responsible with their devices. If we all work together our kids can learn and grow safely in a digital world.

Your Postma team is working hard every day to increase efficiency during dismissal. Thank you for your patience while our children were learning procedures! Every day we are getting faster with our end of day transitions. Thank you for your help these first few weeks of school!

Traversa 360 is the website that will allow guardians to find information for their specific Cypress-Fairbanks ISD student including their bus stop along with morning and afternoon pickup and dropoff times.

Traversa Ride 360 is the mobile application that will allow guardians to find information for their specific Cypress-Fairbanks ISD student including their bus stop along with the ability to track their specific bus and view when their student scans on and off the bus.

We anticipate that we will have more car riders this year. Thank you in advance for your patience. Our number one priority is student safety. Procedures are designed to ensure all are safe. This year, we are asking all parents (new and returning) to complete the car rider registration online. Here is the link to the car rider registration click here.

If you are unable to attend Meet the Teacher, or did not receive a tag at Meet the Teacher, please write your child’s first and last name in LARGE print on the dashboard of your car. We will send your new Car Rider Tag home with your child on the first day, or once registration is complete. Make sure your child’s teacher knows that your child will be a car rider.

Click here for the Car Rider Newsletter 2023. Please be patient as we practice procedures and safety. Pack your patience and a snack the first week of school. The car rider line is very long and we always put safety first. PLEASE, go to the END of the car rider line to get in line for drop off and pick up of your student. If you don’t like long lines, the bus is an excellent option ;)

Only students that live in Townelake on the Green directly behind Postma will be permitted to be a walker or a biker to school. Click here for a link to the permission slip to be a walker/biker.

Walker Parents & Pets: In order to ensure the safety and comfort of all students, animals must be on a leash and are not permitted past the bike rack at arrival or dismissal times.

Important Reminders for Walker/Biker Students & Weather: “Rainy Day Dismissal” is now “Inclement Weather Dismissal”. When we have severe thunderstorms, a message will be sent via Remind. Students will be dismissed as normal if we are experiencing light rain showers. If “Inclement Weather Dismissal” is called, parents will pick up students in the Car Rider line or may pick up students from the front doors AFTER the Car Rider Line has cleared. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you think that your child may qualify for benefits for free/reduced lunch, we encourage you to fill out an application for meal benefits. This application can be filled out electronically at schoolcafe.com (users will need to sign into an existing School Cafe account or create a new one). Applications need to be filled out each school year, and we encourage you to fill out this year’s application now. It will also determine the eligibility for school meals during the first 30 school days of the school year 2023-2024. It takes approximately two weeks to determine eligibility.
