Let's Play
Strategies for Child Centered Learning
Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit's Training & Consultation Team for this IN PERSON Training.
This session will focus on how to find and nurture the strengths and interests of neurodivergent early learners, accept their play as valid by joining in, and use strategies such as modeling and social play chains to promote authentic connections and growth. We will explore Parten’s 6 stages of play and learn new ways to promote interaction and language across each stage. Participants will gain a better understanding of what it means to "follow the child's lead" to ensure more positive and meaningful interactions.
