Welcome Back, UCP Pine Hills Families!
We hope you had a restful and joyous winter break! As we embark on a new year, we are excited to welcome our students back to school on Tuesday, January 7th. Let's start 2025 with enthusiasm and a commitment to learning and excellence.
Important January Dates
Tuesday January 7th: All Students Return to School!!!
School resumes on January 7th. Please remember student drop-off begins at 8:15 AM. We ask that you do not leave students unattended in the morning before 8:15 AM.
January 14th-22nd: State Testing Resumes
Grades 3 through 5th will complete state assessment. Please ensure your student is well rested and on time to do their best.
Wednesday January 15th: Parent Teacher Conference Night
Thursday January 16th: Report Cards Go Home with Students
Thursday, January 16th, all students will receive a copy of their report card to bring home. A student deficiency letter will also be sent if your student is performing below grade level on state assessments. The deficiency letter serves as a formal notification to parents that your child has been identified as having a deficiency in math or ELA and outlines the interventions and support plans we will implement to address the deficiency and help your student improve their academic performance.
Friday, January 17th: Open House
Pine Hills will host an Open House for potential students for the 2025 school year from 10 to 11. Please share this opportunity with friends and family who might be interested in joining our community.
Monday January 20th: Student Holiday
In observance of Martin Luther King January 20th is a student holiday.
Thursday January 23rd: Roar for Excellence Award Ceremony
On January 23rd, we will honor our students for their outstanding achievements in academic excellence, outstanding attendance, and awesome effort for the first and second nine-week grading period. This is a moment of pride for our students and their parents. Invitations will be sent to students and parents if a student earns an award. The times are:
KG-1st 9:15 AM. to 10:00 AM
2nd- 5th 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM.

Preparing Students for a Strong Start !!!
To ensure a smooth transition back to school, here are a few suggestions to prepare your child for success:
Organize Supplies: Check backpacks for necessary school supplies and replenish any needed items.
Set Goals: Encourage your child to reflect on their accomplishments and set goals for the new semester.
Review the Calendar: Familiarize yourself and your child with the upcoming events to stay on track.
Create a Study Zone: Ensure your child has a quiet, organized space for homework and studying.
