Thank You School Bus Drivers!

Oct. 21-25 is Bus Safety Week and Bus Drivers Appreciation Week in Paulding County. In Paulding, 291 school buses travel more than 23,000 miles every day safely transporting students to and from school. We want to celebrate the amazing job our bus drivers do, so be sure to thank your school bus driver today!

School Board Named Exemplary Board 5th Consecutive Year

PCSD Produces Video Series on Safety Threats

Video 2 - Online/Social Media Threats

The Paulding County School District, in partnership with Paulding County Government and the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, is producing a series of public service announcement videos about the ongoing epidemic of students making both verbal and online threats to school safety. These threats have become especially prolific since the tragedy at Apalachee High School in Barrow County on September 4th. The lesson of these videos is that any type of message that threatens the safety of students and staff, whether spoken or posted online, and whether intended seriously or not, is no joke and will result in serious consequences. The first PSA video dealt with verbal threats. The second video, linked below, addresses online threats, and the third video will address how students should respond when they see or hear threats to school safety. All middle and high school students have seen the first video and will see the second video this week.

All three threat PSAs will be uploaded here as they are released:

Making threats to the safety of students and staff, whether spoken or posted online, and whether intended seriously or not, is no joke and will result in serious consequences.
Making threats against public schools is a felony crime.
If you see a threat on social media or anywhere online, never share or repost that threat. Do not forward it to your friends. If you see something, say something to a teacher, an administrator, a safety officer, a parent, or any adult. Or, report it using the anonymous tip line by calling or texting 470-264-6152.
Also remember that we have counseling resources at our schools any time students need someone to talk to. There is also a national crisis hotline available 24/7 if you call or text 988.

Hispanic Celebration at Dobbins MS

The Paulding County community is invited to join a Hispanic Celebration at Dobbins Middle School on Oct. 26th. The event will feature several vendors, games, music and family activities. Families from all Paulding County schools are welcome.
