The Crocodilian
November 1, 2024
As we step into Quarter 2, I want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and enthusiasm our students have brought to the start of the school year. The first quarter has flown by, and we are so proud of the accomplishments of our students, faculty, and staff. Thank you for your support in making it a success.
In this next quarter, we will continue to focus on creating a positive, supportive, and challenging learning environment for each student. Let’s keep building on the solid foundation we've laid in the first weeks. We look forward to working alongside you to help each student achieve their personal best.
Thank you to our teachers, staff, families, and community members who work tirelessly to support our students’ growth. Let’s make this a memorable and rewarding quarter filled with learning, connection, and success!
Warm Regards,
Principal Melanie Harris

Habit 3 - Put First Things First. Work first, then play.
I spend my time on things that are most important.
This means I say no to things I know I should not do.
I set priorities, make a schedule, and follow my plan.
I am disciplined and organized.
Corley Crocs, here are some ways you can practice Habit 3 at home:
1. List some of your most important jobs or responsibilities - Making your bed? Doing your homework? Taking out the garbage? Talk about them with your family!
2. Tomorrow, surprise your parents and do your chores before they even ask!
3. The next time you have a lot of homework to do, do the hardest part first.
4. Think of something you’ve been putting off for a long time, like cleaning up your room, pumping up that tire on your bike, or fixing that broken toy. Maybe, you can do it right now!
→Send in a photo of your child doing these things at home and we will feature some of them in the next issue of The Crocodilian. Email the photo along with the student’s name, teacher, and grade to Katye Wilkinson at kwilkinson@lexrich5.org by November 10th.

We will collect donations from October 28-December 15th. You may view our Wish List here: Crocodiles Fight The Cold - Amazon Gift List - https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/HIT84GY386K2
