Hollinger Families,

I want to take this opportunity to say hello and wish everyone a happy spring season. We have much happening this month as we focus on reading emphasis and math support in preparation for spring testing. It is very important to talk with your child about coming to school on time and being actively involved during class time. We have some very smart students at Hollinger and we want to help them maximize their performance on upcoming state tests. We have made focused efforts to work with students and set them up for success as we head into spring testing.

We will be into the last few days of the school year before we know it. However, there is MUCH to still accomplish. We have class lessons to set students up for next year's learning. Some classes have field trips being planned. Our 8th Grade transition ceremony (for 8th grade students' immediate families) will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10am. We will be sending more detailed information about this to 8th grade families soon.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as your principal. Thank you for your support and partnership in educating our kids

Quiero aprovechar esta oportunidad para saludar y desearles a todos una feliz primavera. Este mes tenemos mucho que hacer, ya que nos centramos en la lectura y el apoyo en matemáticas como preparación para los exámenes de primavera. Es muy importante hablar con su hijo/a sobre la puntualidad y la participación activa en clase. En Hollinger tenemos estudiantes muy inteligentes y queremos ayudarlos a maximizar su rendimiento en los próximos exámenes estatales. Nos hemos esforzado por trabajar con ellos y prepararlos para el éxito de cara a los exámenes de primavera.

Estaremos en los últimos días del año escolar antes de que nos demos cuenta. Sin embargo, aún queda MUCHO por lograr. Tenemos clases para preparar a los estudiantes para el aprendizaje del próximo año. Algunas clases tienen excursiones programadas. Nuestra ceremonia de transición de 8.º grado (para las familias inmediatas de los estudiantes de 8.º grado) se llevará a cabo el jueves 22 de mayo de 2025 a las 10:00 a. m. Pronto enviaremos información más detallada a las familias de 8.º grado.

Agradezco la oportunidad de ser su director. Gracias por su apoyo y colaboración en la educación de nuestros niños.

Please review when your child will be testing. It really makes a difference if they have a good night of sleep, have a nutritious breakfast, arrive to school on time. If your student has wired headphones, please have them bring them on the days that they test for writing and math. Thank you for supporting your student and encouraging them so that they can do their best!

Por favor, revise cuándo su hijo/a tendrá el examen. Es fundamental que duerma bien, desayune nutritivamente y llegue puntual a la escuela. Si su estudiante tiene audífonos con cable, pídale que los traiga los días que tenga exámenes de escritura y matemáticas. ¡Gracias por apoyar a su estudiante y animarlo/a para que dé su mejor!

Please remember that every day attendance at school correlates with academic success! Bring your child to school every day, and excuse any absences using the parent vue App.
