Follow the Engineering Design Process to Create an Amazing Game
When students follow the Engineering Design Process, they make sure they are covering all the bases to design a fun and functional arcade game.
- STEP 1: EMPATHIZE -- what do Kindergarten to 5th grade students want to see and experience in an arcade game?
- STEP 2: DEFINE -- does your arcade game include the key elements?
- STEP 3: IDEATE -- did you think of many different ideas until you came up with a creative and feasible game design?
- STEP 4: PROTOTYPE -- how is your sketch design? Do the rules and play work?
- STEP 5: TEST -- did you improve your game after getting feedback from others?
- STEP 6: SHARE -- will you show up to present your game for everyone to play at the Cardboard Carnival on April 6th?
