10-Day Countdown to Summer Break
Friday, May 24, 2024
If students purchased the “2024 Field Day T-Shirt” they are to wear it on this day.
If students did not purchase the shirt, they may come out of uniform but please encourage your child to dress comfortably, bring a hat/sunglasses (if sunny), and a towel or change of clothing in case they get too wet due to the water game station.
Please make sure students bring their own water bottles to the event
(name written on them preferably).

- Cook County public health officials are urging residents to get vaccinated against measles if they aren’t already.
Two doses of the MMR vaccine are recommended as the best way to protect against measles, mumps, and rubella.
Children should get their first dose between 12 and 15 months, and second dose between 4 and 6 years of age. Teenagers and adults with no evidence of immunity should be vaccinated as soon as possible.
“Once a week, take a peek” Please perform weekly hair checks to prevent a lice outbreak in your home.
Current 6th grade students are required to have a State of IL dental exam on file. Dental forms are due May 15th.
This is a great time to schedule summer doctor appointments. Please note action plans and medication authorization forms are to be updated and submitted every school year!
IESA sports physicals are required for student athletes. They are to be updated annually as they are valid for 365 days. Sports physicals should be submitted to the athletic department.
The Loyola mobile van will return to Graves/HMS September 18th, 2024. Call the office for more information.

Student Handbook Policy 6.50
It has been brought to our attention that some of our older students have been bringing coffee or other sugary drinks to school. As a reminder, these drinks are not allowed in the building per our student handbook policy. If a student is caught with a drink that is not appropriate, we will have to dispose of it.
Thank you for your understanding as we want to make sure all our students are safe and do not share these drinks with other students.
GRAVES BREAKFAST & LUNCH MENUS
Please review this months lunch menu with your child.

If the technical department determines a failure due to damage, the student will be responsible for any hardware costs needed to return the device to a functional state.
