Brief Message From the Office Staff

As we head into the winter/Christmas season please make sure to send your child dressed properly with all of the outdoor clothing they need to be able to play outside as we do send children to play unless the weather is -20C with wind chill. We do have some winter accessories available upon request if needed.

Winter Wonderland @ St. Martin's

This week, St. Martin's Catholic School students embraced the first snowfall of the season with excitement and energy during recess. Bundled up in warm coats, hats, and gloves, they enjoyed building snowmen, making snow angels, and engaging in friendly snowball-free fun!

The snowy playground was filled with laughter and rosy cheeks, reminding us all of the simple joys of winter. It's wonderful to see our students staying active and creative, even in the colder weather. Here's to many more snowy adventures this season!

December Hot Lunch and Volunteer Opportunity

December orders are only available through PowerSchool. Please refer to our EICS Parent Technology Handbook on how to order. *a special Christmas BP kids meal is on Thur Dec 19. All forms and fees must be completed and paid by Thur Nov 28, 2024 in order to receive their Hot Lunch. Sorry, no late orders are able to be accepted. Any questions please phone the office 780-632-2266

Our students are enjoying the free Hot Dog Fridays! We are always looking for more volunteers to help cook the hot dogs. If you are free for a few hours at lunch time on any specific Friday and would like to help out. Please contact our Hot Dog co-ordinator Candice Kropielnicki at candikrop@gmail.com

Insight Assessment in November at EICS Schools

“Insight is a group-administered test of cognitive abilities, which will be administered to all Grade 4, 7, and 8 classes in EICS in the middle of November. The assessment is designed to measure cognitive abilities including reasoning, comprehension, memory, and visual/auditory processing. Students do not need to study for the Insight and the results do not impact their school grades. The results provide information about students’ cognitive strengths and areas of weakness to best support and program for all learners. Thank you to Steven and Nicole from the PEPY team for introducing St. Martin's Catholic School to the PEPY Energy Dots today. PEPY is an energy coaching system that supports the well-being of individuals in various settings, such as schools and workplaces. It uses a strength-based approach that emphasizes the development of the whole person, focusing on three major areas: Spiritual Health, Social Health, and Physical Health. Elevate Youth Retreat

The 3rd Annual Edmonton Archdiocese ELEVATE Youth Retreat led by FacetoFace Ministries will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Sherwood Park on Saturday, January 25, 2026. OLPH Parish is located at 13 Brower Drive, Sherwood park AB. Elevate is a Youth Retreat for grades 6-8! Come to encounter the Lord, have fun, and be empowered to become a modern-day saint!

The conference includes lots of fun, keynote talks, praise and worship, Adoration, and more.

Registration fee includes lunch, all supplies and activities and covers the cost to bring in FacetoFace Ministries.
