Superintendent's Message
October 2023
Clever Families
October is here, and it's hard to believe that we're wrapping up the first quarter of the school year. This time of year is buzzing with fun happenings. While we’ve just entered the fall season, we can't help but start thinking about the possibility of inclement weather. We hope we won't need to worry about that for a while, but we like to be prepared just in case. In this newsletter, you'll find a link to our Alternate Methods of Instruction (AMI) information. We'd appreciate it if you could take a moment to familiarize yourselves with it, so we're all on the same page as we look ahead to the winter months.
We’ve had so many activities going on-sports, theatre, speech and debate and so much more. As the fall season begins to wind down and winter activities gear up, our students' dedication and teamwork continue to shine.
This year our Elemiddle campus is bringing back the Fall Carnival. "Fall On The Farm" is set to take place on October 20th from 5-7, promising a fun and enjoyable experience for all. On the same day, our Central Office will host an open house from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm, providing an excellent opportunity for conversation about the school district, long-term planning, or any other topics that might be on your mind. Whether you're heading to the fall festival or catching the varsity football game, we encourage you to swing by and join us.
In other exciting news, I am proud to inform you that we have been selected as one of the recipients of the 2024 School Safety Grant in the amount of $150,000. The funding from this grant will be used to make crucial safety repairs and upgrades on both of our campuses, ensuring the security and well-being of our students and staff.
Our commitment to long-term planning remains strong. Recently, we received the results of our demographic study, a valuable tool in helping us determine our future needs and how best to meet them. We look forward to sharing more information on this in the near future as we continue to develop long-range plans for the district.
Once again, I want to extend our sincere appreciation for the support and collaboration that makes our district strong. It truly takes all of us working together to realize our vision of excellence in all we do.
Thank you for your dedication, and let's continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Sincerely,
Dr. Breeden
