Dear Families,

Thanks for joining us for Snuggle Up & Read Night. We enjoyed sharing some of our favorite books with you! Reading at home is so important. We hope you can find 15-20 minutes each night to read together. Parents can read aloud while children focus on their listening comprehension or children can read aloud to work on their fluency. You can even mix it up and take turns!

If you haven't started reading Almost Super yet, that would be a great book to use for family reading time. Students have the opportunity to win prizes each week by answering trivia questions. Check out this week's winners below. Save the date for our Family Night on February 13th at 5:00 pm where we will come together after the whole school has read Almost Super for activities, snacks and fun.

Flex your creative muscles with our Almost Super Family Build Challenge! This OPTIONAL activity is open to all Neihardt students and families. Create a project at home and bring it in to be displayed in the library.

This week, we dove into the Zone of Regulation with a fun M&M activity, getting a quick overview of what each Zone color means. The colors we focused on were green, blue, yellow, and red. Ask your child if they remember what feelings are associated with each color!

Please note: until further notice we will only be offering Options 1, 2 and 4 on the below menu.

Thank you to Mr. Wickham, father of Connor and Mr. Kuebler, father of Nathaniel and Ella who volunteered as our Watch D.O.G.S. this week. They spent their time in classrooms, PE, music class, eating lunch with their students and recess. We appreciate you coming in and volunteering.
