You don’t have to look far to see why JDub is such a special place—just look at our incredible volunteers. This past year, we were blessed with a dedicated team of returning veterans who showed up week after week, going above and beyond to support our youth. In January, we were also excited to welcome new volunteers from St. Andrew UMC, who have brought fresh energy and heart to our team. Each of these adults shares a deep love for our youth, grounded in their faith and their genuine desire to serve.

If your child is graduating from high school this year, we’d love to celebrate them during Graduation Sunday on May 18th! Please take a moment to fill out the form below so we can include them in the special recognition during the 11:00am worship service. This helps us make sure every graduate is honored — and we don’t want to miss anyone! Graduates will also be asked to wear their cap and gown to the service, so please have that ready for the big day.

PS – If you have an older child graduating from college or another higher education program, we’d love to include them in the bulletin on May 18th as well! Please use the same form to share their information with us.

Mark your calendars! Confirmation Sunday is happening on Sunday, May 11th at the 11:00am service, and we’d love for all youth families to be there. We have an amazing group of 8th grade students who have been learning, growing, and preparing for this big step in their faith journey — and they’ll be officially confirmed during the service. It’s a special moment for them and for our whole church family. If you’re part of the JDub Youth crew, we’d love for you and your family to come out and show your support!

Save the date for Graduation Sunday on Sunday, May 18th at the 11:00am service, as we recognize and celebrate our amazing high school graduates! These students have been a huge part of our JDub Youth family, and we can’t wait to honor them as they step into this next chapter. Before the service, we’ll also have a special breakfast at 9:45am for all youth and their families to celebrate the end of the school year together. It’s a great time to reflect, connect, and cheer on our grads — we hope to see you there!

On Sunday, May 18th, we’re hosting a special night just for our high school students called The Last Dinner. This will be a meaningful time for the students to gather, share a meal together, and reflect on what youth ministry has meant to them over the years. It’s a chance for them to connect with one another, celebrate their growth, and look back on the memories they’ve made. The meal will take place from 6–7pm, and we encourage all high school youth to join us for this special time!

Salkehatchie Summer Service is an amazing opportunity for youth ages 14 and up. Each week during the summer, groups of youth and adult leaders gather in different parts of South Carolina to work on homes. Most youth say that this week is life-changing and has a major impact on their faith.

John Wesley has participated in different camps over the years. You are encouraged to find a few friends and register for a camp that fits your summer schedule. Two of the main camps John Wesley has attended are the Edisto Camp (July 5-12) and the Dalzell Camp (July 19-26).

WNO (Wednesday Night Out) is an all ages event each Wednesday Night at John Wesley UMC. From 5-6pm we offer a meal ($8 per person, children under 12 $4). From 6-7pm we have music ministry for our 6th-12th graders. We also have small groups for adults and children ministry activities from 6-7pm.
