ELA Trainings Scheduled for the 2024-2025 School Year
TDA Trainings
This is a four part series that ranges from beginner to advanced, with three levels of TDA trainings and then one day to put it all together. Teachers are encouraged to attend all four days, however, more veteran teachers of TDA's may find that day 3 is most beneficial to them, along with the fourth day. Participants do have to attend at least one of the first three days to attend day 4. Click the link below for more information on each day's training, dates, times and registration fees.
Student Engagement Strategies
Although it is not tailored to English Language Arts specifically, it would still benefit ELA teachers. This one day training will walk attendees through various activities to help spark student engagement in everyday instruction. Participants will complete activities and create some of their own so that there is no time wasted in implementing them in their classroom.
Universal Design for Learning
Again, this trainings is not a ELA specific training; however, it will be beneficial to ELA teachers. There will be a variety of resources shared to help include UDL in every classroom, which includes those ELA classes!
Networking Sessions
ELA Teachers' Network
This group is scheduled to meet 4 times throughout the school year, and it is geared toward those teaching grades 4-8, or a Keystone trigger course. There is shared learning during the morning and time to network with teachers from different districts in the afternoon. Districts are welcome to send any of their ELA teachers to these meetings, and there is no fee associated with attendance.
