Principal Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we approach the Christmas season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the blessings of the past year and extend my warmest wishes for a joyous and peaceful holiday season. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and to come together as a community to share in the love, hope, and peace that His arrival brought into the world.
A Season of Faith and Gratitude
For our Christian community, Christmas is more than just a holiday; it is a time to reaffirm our faith and gratitude. It is a reminder of the gift of God's love, demonstrated through the birth of His Son, who brought light into the world. During this season, we are called to reflect on the importance of love, kindness and giving — principles that Jesus Himself exemplified in His life.
As a school, we strive to foster an environment that mirrors these values, where students not only grow academically but also spiritually. We encourage our children to embrace the true meaning of Christmas — cherishing the gift of faith and practicing love toward others. This Christmas, may we all be reminded to share the joy and peace that come with the message of Christ’s birth.
Celebrating with Love and Service
In the spirit of giving, our school community has been busy preparing for various acts of service, whether through food drives, helping those in need or creating cards and gifts for families in our local community. It is heartwarming to see our students and staff come together to make a difference in the lives of others. The Christmas season offers us all the opportunity to give selflessly, just as Jesus did for us.
We also encourage you, our school families, to spend this holiday season nurturing your own faith and creating moments of joy and warmth with your loved ones. Whether through prayer, attending church services, or simply spending time together, let us all embrace the love that Christmas offers and carry that spirit throughout the following year.
Wishing You a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support and partnership. Your involvement in your child’s education and faith journey is invaluable and we are blessed to have such a strong and caring community.
May the Christmas season fill your home with peace, joy and hope. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to welcoming your children back in the new year, ready to continue their journey of learning, growth and faith.
End of Year Reports
An email from SEQTA Engage was issued this week for any parents that has not yet set up their SEQTA Engage app for reports. Again, there will be no printed reports, therefore, all reports will be sent via the app next Friday, 6 December. If you have any issues setting up the app, please contact Andrew via andrew.gaudoin@cewa.edu.au.
Swimming Carnival Cancelled
Due to the Belmont Oasis cancelling the swimming carnival next week, we are unable to locate another venue at this time. Belmont Oasis gave the school very late notice of the cancellation and Miss Fitzpatrick has tried to locate another venue but unfortunately cannot find another aquatic centre that suits our school’s needs at this late stage. Please note that the school has exhausted every possibility to locate another venue.
God’s blessings to you all and hope you enjoy the festive season with your family. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2025.
Kind regards
Andrew Gaudoin
