Another Reminder about Arrival and Dismissal
Parents dropping students off in the morning please have the Frenchtown students in car seats on the passenger side. Students should have already given kisses and hugs as the drop off line needs to continue to move.
Student pick up is in the cafeteria. If you are picking up early, know that early pick ups must be completed by 3:00 pm. All pickups after that must go to the cafeteria. Everyone is always required to show identification when picking up students.
Second Graders Measure Up and Problem Solve
Miss Kopec's second graders have been working really hard at becoming accurate and efficient measurers. Using their centimeter rulers, they measured materials from their desks, remembering to always start at the number zero.
Second graders also worked collaboratively in triads solving math word problems. They took turns sharing and recording their thinking on whiteboards.

Hillcrest Middle School Presentation
“On September 25th at 7PM, the town of Trumbull will partner with the district to provide a presentation regarding the proposed new Hillcrest Middle School. The presentation will take place in the Hillcrest cafetorium, and community members will also have an opportunity to tour our building. As you begin to think about how you will vote on Election Day, please consider the following:
- Hillcrest Middle School currently does not have a sprinkler system, and is the only building in the school district without any fire suppression system;
- Hillcrest Middle School is currently approximately 80 students over capacity, with at least another 25 students projected to enroll in the upcoming school years;
- Special legislation was passed by the state legislature that increases the reimbursement rate from 24% to 44% for only this upcoming election. This decreases the overall cost of the project from $142,375,000 to $79,730,000.
- This project is the first step in a plan to address all buildings in the district.
Please spread the word to have as many people as possible attend this critical event. “

A message from Trumbull High School's
We the People and Model Congress
9/17/24
Good Morning Trumbull!
Happy Constitution Day! On this date in 1787, 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia signed the United States Constitution and sent it to the states for ratification. Pennsylvania delegate Benjamin Franklin said that the delegates created “a republic, if you can keep it.”
Trumbull High’s We the People team wishes you all a Happy Constitution Day! They have created a video on what the Constitution means to them in 2024 – pretty inspiring (I know I am a bit bias!).
