Our One Act Play, "How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse," will be competing at Bi-District in Garden City on Tuesday, March 25.

We are extending our elementary change wars this week for a senior scholarship. Every year, our elementary students vote and choose one senior to receive the Eden Elementary Scholarship. The scholarship amount is the total amount of money the elementary students collect during the Change Wars.

If each class collects $30, they can give a $210 scholarship to one of our seniors to help with some of their college expenses.

The elementary class that brings the most money will win a banana split party.

Just a few dress code reminders as we head into Spring:

* Bangs must be above the eyebrows.

* Students must be clean-shaven.

* Shorts and skirts for secondary students may be no shorter than 5 inches above the knee when standing up straight.

* Shorts and skirts for elementary students must be fingertip length when standing up straight.

* When wearing tight fitting spandex/leggings, the shirt or top must follow the above guidelines (5 inches above knee for secondary students and fingertip length for elementary).

* If there are holes or tears higher than 5 inches above the knee in jeans/pants, leggings must be worn underneath.

* Shirts/tops must cover the abdomen at all times.

The date for Spring pictures is March 13.

The end of the third 9 weeks will be Friday, March 14. Students who are not passing on that date will lose eligibility to participate in any UIL extracurricular sports or activities. Please check Parent Portal, and encourage your student to turn in any missing work.

Eden High School has partnered with the San Angelo Food Bank to do a monthly distribution. If you would like to pick up food, please come through the elementary drop off line between 10:00 and 11:00 on Thursday, March 13.

We will dismiss for spring break on Friday, March 14 at 4:20 pm. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 25 at 7:50 am.

Students currently in 6-11 grade may sign up for cheerleader tryouts.

Any student in Kindergarten--12th grade is invited to participate in the VFW Patriotic Art Contest. Artwork is due in the office by Friday, March 28. Cash prizes are available.

The elementary color run, celebrating the completion of the Walk Across Texas program, will be on Friday, March 14 at 3:00 on the practice field. Parents are welcome to come cheer on their students and help spray the runners.

• FCCLA is selling mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes to raise money for their trip to State. Cakes are $8 each. Please contact an FCCLA member or Mrs. Estrada to purchase cakes. Paid orders are due by April 1. Cakes will be delivered on April 8.

Juniors will be taking the ACT test on March 27.
