Home of the Dragons
Greetings Dragon Families!
I hope this message finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Principal Beatriz Smith is embarking on a new chapter in her life as she approaches retirement from OCPS on December 1. Having served as the esteemed leader of Odyssey Middle School, we like to take this opportunity extend our heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation for her contributions to our school community. Over the years, she has been a beacon of guidance and a source of inspiration to many.
Ms. Smith has decided to relocate to 'Boston to be closer to her family and we hope that this new chapter of her life will be filled with joy, laughter and cherished moments with her loved ones.
Principal Smith, you will be greatly missed, but your legacy will endure in the hearts and minds of all those you have touched. Thank you for your dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to the success of Odyssey Middle School.

Resiliency Trait of the Month- Gratitude
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from a challenge. Developing resiliency is an important skill because we all face challenges on a daily basis and being able to recover quickly can increase the likelihood of a better quality of life.
According to research, those who practice gratitude tend to be more happier, less depressed, and more resilient.
