RULH FFA Students Had a Great Week at Brown County Fair!
The RULH FFA had a busy week at the Brown County Fair! The students worked very hard in various ways! FFA members worked booths, rode the float in the parade, showed and groomed animals, and brought home lots of banners, ribbons, and other awards. Thanks to all the parents, siblings, friends, and the fair board for making it a great week. The best part was seeing the students work together, support each other from the stands, and come together as a family.
The RULH FFA members participated in the very wet parade and represented the school and chapter very well! Students also did a great job working throughout the week in the Cattlemen's booth, the pork producer booth, and the corn booth.
Autumn Graves, Gracie Blackburn, Dominique Cropper, Zane Thomas and Darvee Plymesser all participated as poultry exhibitors. Autumn Graves earned Reserve Champion Market Pen, and Gracie Blackburn earned Grand Champion in the Market Ducks competition.
The following students participated as rabbit exhibitors: Jenna Wilkins, Logan Fisher, Alyssa Fisher, Grace Taylor, Abbi Taylor, Leslie Abbott. Logan Fisher won first in his class and competed in the champion drive. Leslie Abbott earned champion in the Fancy Mini Lop category (and also competed for best overall Fancy Rabbit Category).
Beef exhibitors included Austin Manning, Brooklyn Manning, Bailey Davis and Alysa Fisher. Austin Manning won Reserve Champion Market Steer and Brooklyn Manning earned 4th overall Market Steer. Austin Manning, Brooklyn Manning, and Bailey Davis defended their title as the Champion Senior Calf Grooming team for the third year in a row. Alyssa Fisher earned 4th overall Beginner Showman competition.
In crop exhibitor competitions, Darvee Plymesser won Grand Champion Tobacco and also earned First Place in the Alfalfa Class of Hay.
Congratulations to all of the FFA Blue Jays!
