MMS Weekly Update

Week August 19, 2024

What a great first week of school! It was so great to see old and new faces around campus! We saw lots of team building activities in classrooms and in the hallways.

Meet the teacher will be on August 27 from 5:30-6:30. Schedule changes will finish up by the end of this week. Come out and meet your child's teachers and learn how to access Canvas to help keep track of your child's assignments. if you need help with skyward access, we will be available to help with that as well.

Reminder of the new start MMS: 7:30 - 3:15.

Building will open at 7:05.

6th graders will wait in MPB before school, 7th & 8th will wait in the main gym before school starts.

Breakfast will begin to be served at 7:05 to those who choose to eat in the MPB.

Now that the first week of school is over, traffic congestion should hopefully lessen this week. When dropping off or picking up your student, please continue to pull up and fill in any gaps to help get as many cars through the drop off and pick up lanes.

If your student is walking home, please remind them to use crosswalk when walking across Eagle Drive in front of STEM.

Reminder of parent expectations. If you have any questions about something that happens on campus, please call the school at 940-393-7300 and talk with an administrator. We are here to help in any way we can. The reason this expectation was explained in parent meetings is to have open communication between parents and our staff.
