Last Weeks Sports in Review
- Cross Country - a good week to have a weekend off! Runners will compete at the Kim Duyst Invitational at River Oaks Golf Course in Ceres, CA on Sept 14th.
- Field Hockey had their first home game and Varsity beat Chico in Overtime 2-1. The JV girls played hard but lost 0-2.
- Flag Football had a home game and Varsity beat El Camino 13-7; JV tied 13-13.
- Football hosted Casa Roble in the Cowbell Classic. It was a standing room only crowd with over 2500 tickets sold for Friday Night!
- Varsity - the game was tied 14-14 with 5 minutes left but unfortunately with some crucial turnovers we lost the battle 14-22.
- JV got the night started with a BIG WIN 44-8.
- Freshmen have been battling injuries but our boys fought hard. Lost 8-54.
- Girls Golf had their first match and I have not heard from the coach as of this email. I’ll update next week.
- Girls Volleyball had one match and Varsity WON 3-2; JV Lost 0-2; Freshmen played in the Carmichael Invitational and took 2nd Place!
- Water Polo had tournaments this weekend
- Varsity Boys finished 2-2
- JV Girls lost their first game to El Camino; no scores reported for the next two.
Student Body
- The College & Career has numerous upcoming College Rep visits starting September 12. Stop by the CCC and see what colleges will be presenting. Juniors/Seniors have priority. Students must sign up at least 24 hours in advanced and No last-minute walk-ins permitted.
- Last day for Students to sign up for Clubs is Friday, September 20. Stop by the office student bulletin board or look for Flyers around campus.
- Congratulations to Joylin Song whose video has made it to the semifinals of the Breakthrough Junior Challenge. She needs as many "LIKES" as possible for her video. By liking her video and supporting her, it is shows our Bronco pride. If she wins, our school will receive a new science lab!

- Today come watch and cheer on Girls Field Hockey home game against Red Bluff. JV starts at 4pm and Varsity at 5:15pm.
- Wrestling preseason practices have begun! New and returning wrestlers are welcome Monday's & Wednesday's after school in the Atrium. See coach Lane in I6 with any questions.

- The HBCU Recruitment Fair for 11th and 12th grade students is this Thursday, September 12th at El Camino HS from 1:30-3:30pm. If you plan to take the bus, transportation permission slips are Due TODAY to room A6 Mrs. Gonzalez.
- Student Volunteers needed for the October Arts & Craft Fair! If you need volunteer hours, see the flyer for signups at the office student bulletin board or see Mrs. Sloan in the Library.
- Are you looking for a traveling adventure this summer? Join Mr. Lane and Ms. Yassu on a trip to Switzerland, Italy, Rome and Paris. For more information stop by either of their classrooms and talk to one of them. Look for flyers posted all over the school!
- Students planning to participate in 2024-2025 sports must be registered on Sports Net and have a current sports physical on file before conditioning, practices or tryouts.
- SB Cards ($50), student planners ($5) and class t-shirts ($13) are still available to purchase in the Finance office with Cash or check.
