The Guild PTO - Madison Traditional Academy
Presidents' Update
Dear MTA families,
Less than a week left- what a year! I know everyone is busy in this “maycember” season so here are the highlights!
Silent Auction
Our first ever silent auction kicks off today!
Check out the bids here:
Bid on a plethora of items and experiences from desert ATV tours, Botox, Diamondbacks tickets, mobile dog grooming, pilates + barre classes, trip to Mexico, cabin in Pinetop, staycation at the Westin, private baseball coaching session with former MLB player (and MTA Dad!) and some really fun school related items like reserved parking for special events, mascot for an event, personalized marquee messages (wish your child a happy birthday or congratulations), pizza lunch with a teacher and even be the principal for the day!
(The school events will populate today - we will send out a remind text when those are there ready to bid on!)
Unsung Heros ⭐️
Contributions to our unsung Heroes. While the class parents coordinate a dedicated end of year gift for our wonderful teachers, we wanted to take this opportunity to also recognize the amazing support team that helps make our school what it is.
From our fabulous Specials teachers to our always smiling crossing guards, counselors, librarian, nurse, front office team, custodians, etc…there is a dedicated team of 20+ individuals behind the scenes that help the school run smoothly, keep our children safe + cared for in a positive learning environment.
We began this initiative last year and had such a positive response, we are continuing the tradition!
The suggested amount is $5-$10 per family - or whatever amount you feel comfortable giving.

MTA Owl Store Updates
- We're incredibly grateful for the support of MTA families and volunteers in making the OWL store a success. If you'd like to contribute to the final store of the year, we've updated our Amazon wish list with items that students are most interested in.
- You can send Amazon items directly to the school at this link.
- We’re also very thankful for the generous donations that have been dropped off at MTA! Please keep the OWL Store in mind if you have any extra gift bag or holiday goodies, gently used stuffed animals or Squishmallows your student is no longer using (tags not needed!), or books your child has outgrown. Thank you sincerely for your ongoing support!
Yearbooks
- The front office has a few yearbooks left to sell.
- $25 cash only
Ongoing GotSneakers Fundraiser:
- 👟 ♻️ Our sneaker drive is now ongoing, all year long- simply drop off your sneakers (in any condition) to the front office.
- Can be men/women/kids shoes
- Make sure to share with family, friends + neighbors so we can recycle + fundraise for a good cause.
- Please click here for link for more info on the organization!
Raptor (Volunteer System)
Thank you for your patience with Raptor. The hours are now viewable for parents. Yay! There is a delay for hours added manually. Many hours are submitted at the end of the month - so if you attended a Guild meeting, helped at a sports game, did uniform laundry, etc., those hours will populate the following month.
If you received an email regarding your hours in error, send us an email: mtaguildboard@gmail.com
We strongly suggest you keep a log (ex: Notes app in your phone) of your hours should there be a discrepancy.
Also- please sign up for hours using your name in Raptor. We are unable to assign hours to a name not in the system. If a teacher is crediting your hours, make sure they are using your correct name also. Thank you for your help with this.
If you are having technical issues (password, etc.) with your Raptor account, contact Liz Hernandez at the District office at lhernandez@madisoned.org
