Frost M.S. Music
August 29th, 2024
Welcome Back!!
Hello everyone!
I can't believe that we are already back to school! I hope that everyone had a great summer. My summer went by too fast. I am looking forward to getting to know all of our new 7th grade students and to see our returning 8th grade students. I am going to attach a number of handouts in PDF format, links and other information in this email.
The Frost M.S. instrumental music program is a national award winning program that takes pride in fostering students musical development. Our motto is "Music Education in the Real World". We want to provide our students with many performance opportunities inside and outside of the classroom to show our students the possibilities of playing music beyond high school. Your student is joining something that is bigger than them and everyone plays a part to make our program what it is. Our program is successful not just because of the music teachers, but also our students, parents, families, Livonia Public Schools and our community.
Music is a full year elective:
Our music classes are a full year commitment. Our goal is for our students to continue on through High School. Our music students do not need to take PE in middle school as long as they are enrolled in music class. They may take other electives too while taking a music class.
Weekly E-Mails:
I send out weekly emails through Mi-Star to student emails and parent email addresses that are listed on student registration. These email links will also be in Google Classroom.
Facebook Group:
We have a Facebook group at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/frostmsmusic/
