In Montana History, fourth graders learned about the history of copper mining in Butte by researching the languages found on a sign that was located in the mine. Counselor's Corner
Personal Space and Personal Safety will be taught during classroom school counseling lessons this month. Ask your child to share how they can help manage their own space and safety. Here are some additional tips:
Help your child learn your full name, address, and phone number
Designate "safe people and spaces" in your neighborhood
Create a safety password for your child to ask strangers who claim you have sent them to care for your child
Discuss and practice situations when it is ok for your child to say "No" to strangers who are making your child feel uncomfortable
Track what your child wears daily
