Important Message from Woodland D50
Jan. 20, 2025
Northern Illinois is currently experiencing cold temperatures and wind chills and this is expected to continue overnight and into tomorrow. We are not anticipating any school closures, but these conditions will make tomorrow morning’s trip to school colder than usual. Please ensure that students wear proper layers, including hats, gloves, scarves, and warm outerwear to protect against the cold, and use extra caution when traveling. We will be keeping in close contact with our Operations & Facilities Team, and our Transportation Team to make sure everything is running smoothly. Students will stay indoors for recess and P.E. classes.
For this weather event, Woodland will not be sending any additional alerts unless the status of our schools changes. If you do not receive any other notifications from us, that means school is on as scheduled. Do NOT expect another email to confirm that school is on.

REMINDER: The district will not send notifications home every time there is cold weather and snow in the forecast. If you do not hear from the district, that means we are not anticipating any disruption to normal school operations and your child should come to school as expected. The district will only send notification if conditions change!
