DISRUPTING THINKING
Summer Book Club Twitter Chat
Why How We Read Matters
Disruptive Thinking was just released this year. Frankki Sibberson wrote the following comment "This book is a reminder that we are not in the business of raising readers who can merely retell a story or pass a text. Instead we are growing responsible, responsive, empathetic readers who come away from a text with a better understanding of other people, their world, and themselves. "
As media specialists we are passionate about the fact that reading ought to change us. Let's be the leaders in our schools that disrupt thinking!
Join our summer book club. Each week, on Twitter, we will post discussion questions on two chapters so you can share, discuss, and reflect via a "slow chat" over the course of the week. We will reach out to the authors and invite them to participate in either a webinar or a Twitter chat for the final week.
Sign-up to participate and receive updates. Invite teachers and administrators to join this professional book club so that together we can use the power of books to disrupt complacency and promote change in our world.
