Marching Into Fun: A Month of Exciting Activities!
March is here, and that means spring is just around the corner! 馃尫 But before we trade our sweaters for short sleeves, we have a month packed with exciting activities, friendly competition, and a little bit of luck. 馃崁

March wouldn鈥檛 be complete without a Mardi Gras Celebration! 馃幁 On March 13, we鈥檙e taking a trip to Louisiana (without leaving our chairs) for Travel Thursday, where we鈥檒l explore the culture, history, and traditions of the Bayou State. March Craft Club: DIY Easter Sign
Join us on March 19 at 1:30 PM as we create a charming DIY Easter Sign using a Cricut machine! While this craft won鈥檛 allow for as much creative expression as some of our past projects, it鈥檚 a great opportunity to learn essential Cricut techniques that will open the door to even more crafting possibilities in the future.
In this session, we鈥檒l walk step-by-step through the process of making a festive Easter sign featuring adorable bunny silhouettes and a warm "Welcome" message. Please note that Julissa will need to pre-select the color of the bunnies for your sign, so be sure to let her know your preference in advance!
Whether you're new to Cricut or looking to refine your skills, this project will give you the foundation to tackle more advanced designs down the road. Come ready to craft, learn, and have fun with fellow crafters! We can鈥檛 wait to see you there. 馃帹馃惏

We鈥檙e excited to announce that we鈥檒l be selling Marianna鈥檚 subs and pizzas again! Order forms can be picked up in the senior center or they are attached to this newsletter. Each sub and pizza is $10.50, and every dollar raised goes directly back to supporting the senior center!
This is a delicious way to support our programs and activities, so be sure to place your order and spread the word!
Thank you for your support! 鉂わ笍馃オ馃崟
In February, six members attended our Advisory Council meeting, where we discussed upcoming events and exciting plans for the months ahead. One of the highlights was planning our Camping Week special lunch, which will feature mountain pie sandwiches or hot dogs, fire-cooked corn, and, of course, s鈥檓ores! Additional salads will be chosen as we get closer to the event.
We also began mapping out destinations for Cruise Week and reviewed which activities should appear regularly on our monthly calendar. Additionally, we took time to go through suggestions from the Suggestion Box to ensure we鈥檙e continuously improving the center based on member feedback.
If you鈥檇 like to have a voice in shaping the senior center鈥檚 activities and events, we invite you to join the Advisory Council! We currently have two open seats and would love for you to be a part of the team.
If you have any suggestions for the current year or next year please seek out a council member, Jess, Wayne or Julissa. The current members of advisory council are:
